Our Story

Velocity is a business incubator, accelerator, and coworking space located in “Sterling Innovation District” of Sterling Heights, Michigan. We provide grant support, guidance from entrepreneurs, and monthly events for new startup business owners. Our primary goal is to encourage businesses to apply to programs for support and community growth.

 

In addition to encouraging program applications, our website aims to showcase success stories, share monthly blogs, and invite entrepreneurs to free events. Velocity has been providing space, programming, and support to entrepreneurs and growing companies for the past 11 years. It is unique compared to other business incubators and accelerators due to its collaboration between the City of Sterling Heights, Macomb County, and Oakland University, which launched the center and created a hub for economic development across Macomb County as one of 21 SmartZones in the state of Michigan.
